MATERIALS AND PROCESSING – Series 1

Liquid
Material that is liquid, traditionally is used by the Artist; water, turpentine, oil or acrylic.

Rock
Formed from earth
• primary: a hard material such as stone, lava, etc..
• secondary : stones; the sediment such as marble, limestone, sand or clay.

Organic
Matter such as wood, or leaf-shaped life (cell of veins and blockage)
• Fibrous
• Cellular composition

Metal
Organizations such as iron, gold, tin, where nature still remains though melting or modify but their nature remains.

Synthetics
Artificial materials such as plastic, glass, perspect where transparency is usually been applied.

Hybrid
Materials mixed with each other as the materials mentioned above.

Material is important in producing work where the use of processing techniques and an individual in the results and applied over a work such as;
• Structure – How does it work with stress such as soft, hard or physical condition.
• Texture – To demonstrate the texture in his work as rough, soft or smooth.

How’s material been uses by an artist artwork and how to work completing and implementing by the artist.
